Get an overview of modern economic research by listening to MP3. An experimental project created by Sebastian Kranz, Ulm University using Google's NotebookLM. Not endorsed by the Journal of Economic Perspectives, the AEA or the authors.
Note: Best download an MP3 you are interested in to your mobile phone. As I can only generate a limited number of audio overviews per day there are audio overviews only for a small subset of the many excellent JEP articles. Mainly those that I most strongly wanted to listen to myself.
Personally, I am quite amazed about the quality of those AI podcasts generated by Google's NotebookLM. This feature was already fascinating when first introduced and seems to have greatly improved over time. I really liked listening to many of those mp3 while taking a walk.
But don't forget: while AI is improving incredibly fast, it can still make mistakes and hallucinate. I did not check any of the audio overviews for correctness.
